問題

Anroid Studio 3.2.1を使っていたが更新があるというので3.3へアップデートしたら

ERROR: The Android Gradle plugin supports only Kotlin Gradle plugin version 1.3.0 and higher.

と言われてアーハイハイとgradleファイルのプラグインのバージョンを更新した（つもりだった）がダメだった

対策

build.gradle

dependencies {
    implementation fileTree(dir: 'libs', include: ['*.jar'])
    implementation fileTree(include: ['*.so'], dir: 'jniLibs')
    implementation "org.jetbrains.kotlin:kotlin-stdlib-jdk7:$kotlin_version"

    androidTestImplementation 'com.android.support.test.espresso:espresso-core:3.0.2'
    implementation "org.jetbrains.kotlin:kotlin-reflect:1.2.61"

まずぱっと思いついたapp側のgradleの

implementation "org.jetbrains.kotlin:kotlin-reflect:1.2.61"

を

implementation "org.jetbrains.kotlin:kotlin-reflect:1.3.11"

にしたが不十分だったようで...

module(全体)側のbuild.gradleの

    ext.kotlin_version = '1.3.20'
    repositories {

    dependencies {
        classpath 'com.android.tools.build:gradle:3.3.0'

のうち、

ext.kotlin_version = '1.2.61'

を

ext.kotlin_version = '1.3.20'

にしたら解決した

あとはmigrationが必要だぞって言われたので指示にしたがってポチポチしたらOK
